Checklist for Manuscript Submission

Please prepare both the “Application Form” and the ‘Manuscript’ in accordance with the Tetsu-to-Hagané Instructions to Authors.
Formats are available for both; please download and use them from the following URL.
(The “Manuscript” uses the “Template for Submission (Word version)” as its format.)

※The “Application Form” is used to apply for items required during the review and production process.

Please then proceed with the submission process via the ‘Tetsu-to-Hagané’ submission review system (ScholarOne Manuscripts).

In the submission review system, you will complete the necessary details and upload files based on the pre-prepared “Application Form” and “Manuscript”.

Please verify that the following information has been correctly entered into the system.

Step 1: Title, Type and Abstract

・Manuscript type <Select>

・Title <Japanese>

・Abstract <English>

・Title(English) <English>

Step 2: File Upload

(1) “Application Form” Word file

(2) “Main text manuscript” Word file including figures and tables
(Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, Statement for Conflict of Interest, Acknowledgements, References, Figures and Tables etc.)

(3) If necessary, the following files

・High-resolution, clear figures (including the Graphical Abstract) in electronic data files (if the figures in the template are not clear)

・A Word file containing a table created using Word functions, or an Excel file without images (if the template table is an image)

・Data files for Supporting Information (when Supporting Information is included)

(4) Where previously published content exists, the file of that previously published material
(e.g., in the case of reprinting from ISIJ Int., the paper file published in ISIJ Int., etc.)

Step 3: Keyword etc.

・Keywords ※All English keywords listed in the manuscript

Step 4: Authors

Enter the names and affiliations of all authors.
(Each author's account will be linked via their email address.)

Step 5: Cover Letter etc.

・Cover Letter

・Funding

Step 6: Confirm and Submit

After confirming the above system input details and the making of the PDF for peer review, please submit.

※If the PDF contain garbled text or misalignment in figures, tables, or mathematical expressions, please upload the PDF file alongside the Word file.
